Where It Started

I'd had some bad news back in the UK. Life felt mediocre, so at 19 I did what any 19 year old might do. I packed my bags and headed to Australia.

To stay, I needed to do farm work. I landed on a farm knowing absolutely nothing about country life. A city boy with fake teeth, completely out of his depth.

Becoming Family

Nine months of fixing fences, ploughing fields, hunting, and a lot of laughter later, something had shifted. I saw the farm owner like an uncle. I'd become a nephew to him.

We got talking about a brand. He wanted his workers in proper gear, something that meant something. I sketched a hat. He liked it.

The Hats

I went to Asia, found a manufacturer I trusted, and Tureevale became real. But it was never just about the hats.

I want people to feel the same sense of belonging I felt on that farm. Every sale feeds back into those Aussie country towns, the towns that took me in and gave me everything.
